Hydraulic Rod Seals

Seals for piston rods of hydraulic cylinders have the task of preventing the leakage of hydraulic media into the surrounding environment during operation.

Modern piston rod sealing systems usually consist of several individual seals
The primary seal in the sealing system is designed to safely and reliably absorb the operating pressure within the hydraulic system, as well as to accommodate the pressure peaks that occur during application.

The secondary seal is placed behind the primary one with the main task of reducing the remaining oil film on the piston rod to a minimum, during its extraction.
It can also temporarily take over the role of the primary seal in the event of its failure.
