V-Seal Set R03
DESCRIPTION
Chevron seal set R03 for sealing piston rods. Set includes five (n=5), or seven pieces(n=7) : Support ring, Pressure ring, one rubber ring and two or four V-rings rubber-fabric reinforced.
(1) – Pressure ring is a base ring that hold the V-rings in set and with them provide effective sealing. Pressure ring
is manufactured in fabric impregnated with rubber
(2) – V-Rings are manufactured in fabric impregnated with rubber
(3) – V-ring is made in rubber for higher sealing efficiency
(4) – Support ring are made in rubber reinforced fabric or in polyacetal resine – POM.
In the set R03 Support ring distribute axial force energizing each individual component and pressed them into positive contact with the rod, gland surfaces and pressure ring, providing the sealing.
V-Seal Set R03 is reliable even under exstreme operating conditions and has excellent behavior in harsh conditions. R03 has exceptional wear resistance and due to pre-load adjustment capability has long service life.

Gland length, L
Adjustable housings have the advantage of allowing adjustments of the axial force applied to the seal set. After a long period of operation and the occurrence of seal wear, this type of housing allows tightening of the seal and prolonging its service life.
For adjustable housings, it is recommended to extend the installation site by 2.5% and the possibility of subsequent adjustment of 7.5% from the “L” dimension, by installing a washer.
